In the plain of Vasilikis and in the olive grove of Lefkada’s town, you could find many riding schools, offering unforgettable horse rides.
Magical places for riding are the field of Vassilikis and Aghios Petros to Aghios Ioannis Rodaki, the lake of Marantochori, the area of Roupakia etc. You could also ride to the magical pathways over the church of Aghios Ioannis Antzousis in the area of Aghios Ioannis next to the town of Lefkada.
Outside of Lefkada’s town, in the village of Apolpena, there is an area of 100 sq m with an organised riding farm where the lovers of Natural Horse Riding, could take lessons and enjoy the mountain and sea.
The riding lessons last 45 minutes with aravanika Greek horses and include theory and exercises in a fenced place of 1 sq.m. Full equipment is offered. A basic requirement for an inexperienced rider is the participation of the horse’s preparation. Every ride lasts 3-4 hours, depending on the program.
The programs of the ride are basically 2:
Ride on the mountain: Apolpena – Melissa Gorge – Tsoukalades (Aghios Georgios) – Apolpena.
Ride on the sea: Apolpena – Fryni – Aghios Ioannis – Fryni – Apolpena
