Lefkada is famous for its heavenly beaches, with its golden sand and turquoise waters. Beaches that have been awarded blue flags and are constantly in the top positions of preferences in international internet polls.
Lefkada is an island of the Ionian Sea and belongs to the island complex of the Ionian Islands. It is located between Corfu and Kefalonia, near the coast of western mainland Greece. A very narrow strip of sea separates it from Acarnania, and a 50-meter floating drawbridge connects it to it.
In Lefkada there are archaeological sites, churches, monasteries, museums and libraries, most of which can be visited and the visitor can be guided.
